Marine reducer Overview
Rouist-Auto girth gears are applied in the mining, cement, minerals industries used in various types of horizontal mills, rotary dryers, rotary kilns and other gear ring applications in heavy processing.
Girth gears are large ring gears which are normally fitted to the outside of mills or kilns to provide the primary rotational drive. Used on a number of mining and process applications but are well known in heavy mineral processing such as copper, silver, gold, platinum and iron ore.
Rouist-Auto can supply as part of a full mill drive system allowing optimisation. Mill drive gearboxes and their ratios are selected to compliment the girth gear design and reduce the cost of the entire system. Selecting the right girth gear, brings together the gear manufacturer, the system designer and the end user. Rouist-Auto’s high integrity girth gears are used to drive horizontal grinding mills that are designed for ultimate strength and reliability in service.
Girth gears are designed and manufactured with capabilities up to 10,000kW per pinion. Globally Rouist-Auto can design, manufacture and supply girth gears up to 14 metres in diameter and up to 105,000kg in weight, made to the highest accuracy and quality. All facilities can supply cast steel and SG iron, fabricated/forged steel gears.
